Projecting
Stagnancy and inaction is a cyclic, insidious thing. I recommend avoiding it.
I'm about to get myself irretrievably enmeshed in a project or two. There's nothing like it, if you can get yourself thus entangled. You get a sense of purpose, a kinetic, forward-streaming motion. It's best to get on board these things by committing, by making sure you can't back out again. Then you have no choice but to see it through. Like plunging over a waterfall.
I'm setting out to write epic fantasy novels...but to that end I will happily populate enclosed spaces on graph paper with imaginary, inventive monsters. If I can do that and have some stranger pick it up and use it, then I know I'm well on my way.
Word of the Day
The Rock-Biter in The NeverEnding Story was a lithotroph.
